Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation, a registered Canadian charity, is a not-for-profit, no-kill dog rescue based in Calgary, AB, Canada. We are run independently and made up entirely of a dedicated group of volunteers. We work very hard to save dogs in life-threatening situations and give them a second chance at life. We then place these amazing animals with the right family and create what we call a “pawsitive match.”
We have a wonderful team of resourceful, talented, experienced and dedicated individuals with the common goal of saving dogs and giving them that second chance.
Pawsitive Match saves dogs in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, who face life-threatening circumstances. The dogs in our program come from shelters that have no choice but to euthanize due to over-crowding or because they are shutting down. We also help save dogs on local First Nations Reserves and occasional owner surrenders. In many cases we are the only hope these dogs have, as many shelters come to us when they are out of options. We do not discriminate by age, size, breed, location, temperament etc. We are here to help all dogs.
Pawsitive Match is also involved in an education program in Mexico, particularly in Cabo San Lucas and the surrounding area. Our volunteers travel to Mexico and work exhaustively to promote spaying and neutering, as well as responsible pet ownership. We believe that abandoned and abused dogs deserve a second chance at a happy life, no matter where they come from.
Pawsitive Match also volunteers with the Alberta Spay and Neuter Task Force, whereby hundreds of volunteers get together and organize a spay and neuter clinic on our local First Nations Reserves.
